Nice to meet you, neighbor.
No, there is no...Hi. Nice to meet you, neighbor.

No, there is no requirement to be on FB. We can definitely dialogue just the way we are now or feel free to email me.

Re: Color
That's quite the loaded question. Given, I don't know your style. I'd say research fabric lines that speak to you. Fabric lines will take the hard part of picking a scheme for you, plus lines will have a variety of scale to make sure your have that extra oomph to your quilt. Or, find a fabric you love, and use the color codes on the selvage to build your color scheme. I tend to mix solids and prints.

I hope this is helpful.

Sandrasandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06489154558295115942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8637936385302534054.post-54481615016160790282015-05-06T19:11:17.205-06:002015-05-06T19:11:17.205-06:00hey I just noticed you're in Denver -- I live ...hey I just noticed you're in Denver -- I live in Westminster, makes us (almost) neighbors ... serendipity right?Kathhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09269515762453672402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8637936385302534054.post-75693543566595123202015-05-06T19:04:16.878-06:002015-05-06T19:04:16.878-06:00Hi Sandra,
I think I'm a beginning quilter eve...Hi Sandra,
I think I'm a beginning quilter even though, many years ago, I took a hand-pieced, hand-quilted quilt-as-you-go class and made 4 sampler blocks out of the 12 planned. It's been a long time, I don't think I retained much -- so it's back to GO (without passing or $200) for me.

I haven't really used FB (to be a good example for my kids) so I'm struggling with that part of this qal. Is it even possible without using FB? Maybe we can chat about this if it's going to be a problem.

Do you have suggestions about fabrics: prints or solids or both, color story pitfalls ...? Color is an area I need to work on, so any help with this would be appreciated.

Thanks for heading this qal.
